When you borrow any loan or apply for a card from any financial institution, you share a few basic details such as your PAN details, date of birth, mobile number and address.
These basic details are also known as KYC information. The Reserve Bank of India made it mandatory for all the financial institutions to conduct KYC for their customers.
Similarly, if you take any products from Bajaj Finance, you share a few basic details which creates your profile in the customer portal – My Account. In case any of your contact information such as mobile number, address or email ID undergoes any change, you can update the same in a hassle-free online process. All you have to do is to follow these easy steps to update mobile number in My Account.
- Visit My Account – Bajaj Finance customer portal and enter the mobile number and date of birth to sign-in.
- Go to the ‘Menu’ at the top right of your mobile screen and click on ‘View Profile’ option.
- Click on the ‘Edit’ option below the profile details that you wish to update.
- Choose a mode of verification from the list.
- Enter the new details and verify them with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Once you submit your request, a service request number will be generated, and your details will get updated in the records within 48 business hours. You will receive an SMS on your mobile number once your details are updated.
It is important to update your mobile number and other contact details in My Account so that you do not miss out on any service-related communication. If your contact details are updated, you can easily access a host of self-service options using the customer portal.
